So, there's 22 days and some hours left to go.
I have to admit to being pretty excited ~ We're in 2011 now and the first event is getting booked up, and there are lots of people who can't make it, while of course that is dissapointing it also bodes well for future events.
We have a few new players which is awesome, new players are the life blood of LRP. Of course I dearly love all of our old players, they mean the world to me, but it is natural for players to drop out / for real life to get in the way, and so there is a steady decline, hence new players are great, and it always adds some new energy which is nice.
I have quite a lot of pages of notes now and even some web links. All that remains is to get it all down on paper. I plan to do this at the weekend and I think it's going to work out pretty well, I am pleased with the ideas and it has 'legs'. Of course, as always there are some nerves involved. I like that. I don't want to 'relax' into running events, I want to put my all into them.
I am really looking forward to event 1 - Shattered Junction. I hope you are too, or if you can't make it, then I hope to see you at another event some time in the year.
In other news I am getting ferrets :)

Back into the swing of running Frail Lives this week, which is exciting and a healthy number of turns in. It should be an exciting period for players I think, certainly it represents something quite exciting and a new 'theme' to turns and so on.
We'll be posting updates on things that are going on as time progress' as well.
In other news bookings should be open soon and we're progressing onwards with site hunting with some interesting options for the 'Stockwood dates.'
All in all FR is full steam ahead, and it's a lot of fun being behind it.
Argh.
I used to have all the links coming up as a nice burgundy. For some reason unbeknown to me that changed and many of them were showing as grey. So I contacted the nice helpful website team (via Live Chat) and asked how to change that. They were very helpful and immediately guided me to the option I had to chose.
It worked. All the links became burgundy again. Lovely.
Sadly a huge amount of the formatting of each and every page also dissapeared.
After throwing something of a tantrum at the operator on live chat I have now re edited every page.
If you spot errors then please let me know, but in the meantime I have my fingers crossed. (Frail Fingers?)
Organising and running events is a time consuming business! Having found sites that I was keen on and wanted to use for our events in 2011 it has come as a blow that the lovely site that is Stockwood is no longer available. I wish all the success in the world to the Legion of Dreams people for finding somewhere else to host and turn into a great site.
Meanwhile I am looking for sites (again). It's something that doesn't change admittedly, of course new sites provide great interest, both to write for and for the players to explore. It doesn't seem to get any easier, infact sometimes it's an uphill struggle, but I have a couple of 'irons in the fire' which will hopefully bear fruit. Do irons bear fruit? Hmm. I welcome ideas for sites that are affordable and available.
In other news we have the most recent bit of FR History out there - it's called 'Under the Fence - Late 1826' and can be found on the downloads page. It provides some context for what's been happening, there will be more coming in the near-ish future.
We are also about to open our bookings for 2011, it's a nerve wracking time, accompanied by all the usual 'oh god what if we don't get anyone booking ons'!) However with luck, good will and so on we'll be millionaires by the end of 2011. Well, no, but hopefully we'll have many happy FR peoples.
Ta Ta for now.
This will. no doubt turn into an epic and amusing, witty and whimsical account of the happenings of Frail Realities.
Or possibly we will forget to update it very often, which is ok too...
If it's the former then enjoy reading.
If it's the latter, then at some point remind me to delete this page :)
