Crew Points

Tally Sheet

When you crew an FR event you get Crew Points, these can be used to put onto your character when you play.  It does not effect your current points threshold.  Ultimately therefore it means that you can have slightly more abilities than a character who has not crewed.  A maximum of 4 x the CR rating of the event may be put on before an event you play.

We want to encourage people to crew, it's vital to any event, and so we think that this is a good thing.

Crewing or refereeing an event now grants four times the CR of the event in crew points (exactly the same amount one could put on) -we have done this as a 'crew one play one' approach seems reasonable.

If the site requires crew to camp, this multiplier goes up by one, and if the conditions happen to be pretty harsh (few crew, terrible weather) it can go up by another one.

Crewing or reffing Frail Nights pays double crew points if someone crews all of it (so Frail Nights is usually CR 36 so this would be 288 crew points - this has been done because committing to 4-5days crewing is a big deal, and we want to make sure we always have crew enough for FN (the plan being to run one a year henceforth).  However, to make FN work, we need more crew, which in turn allows more players, which makes it economically viable.

A player may swap 200 crew points for any blood or ability as an eclectic pick - it grants only the power to buy that ecelctic pick up, no ranks in it, and does not allow bloods over and above what you would normally be able to buy to be taken. This option is not available to Justin and Chris (or any other 'system ref' we might one day have).

Booking as Play to Crew gets an award of 5 crew points regardless (obviously you get the crew points of the event as well if you crew)

If you help FR in other ways we may give out discretionary crew points.  This includes for finding sites, props, helping with books etc.

Introducing a new player on an event gets you a bonus of 20 crew points

Crew Point Awards are always at our discretion

E.G.  Robert crews a CR 9 event.  It is cold and snowing and for some reason we have asked him to camp.  He is awarded 54 crew points.  Because Robert is a generous soul he has donated a nice mask to FR which earns him another 5pts.  The next event he books crew to play.  This earns him 5 points, AND he brings along a new player, earining him a whopping 20 points more.  He has a total therefore of 84 crew points.   He ends up playing the event which is CR 9, so before the event he puts 36 (the maximum) onto his character and buys an ability up a level.
